Speaking of Mid-autumn festival, it is not surprising that most people think of
moon cake, reunion and enjoyment of moon light. This Mid-autumn Festival just pa
st, however, it was quite special for me. Neither moon cake nor reunion I though
t, but enjoyed being accompanied by my lovely baby just born in hospital, surely
by pain together.
It was about 1:00 am that we arrived at hospital where I usually go to for check
-up. Soon my parent-in-law helped to learn if there was bed available for me, in
case of I could not wait so long. My husband armed me to walk slowly as I could
hardly stand myself with pain. Being told there was not vacant bed until 10:00,
we had to phone another hospital nearby. Luckily there was! We soon headed to i
t and got everything done as nurses asked. Finally I could lie down on a small b
ed at 3:00 around. My husband sat beside the bed and held one of my hands so I f
elt somewhat comfortable, although the pain became heavier and heavier and I cou
ld not help groaning weakly.
Near 3:40, I felt amnions were broken and lot of water spilt out from my body. S
oon I was taken into delivery room where all my family members can not walk in.
28 minutes later, my baby was born naturally. At that moment, I felt very comfor
table that I have not had in the past 10 months. :-) After staying at deliver ro
om for 2 hours, I was taken out and met my family members again. They looked qui
te happy yet tired.
The date of taking baby is unforgettable for every woman, I think. It is the day
to know what is the most painful thing in the world, and to fell how happy to b
e a great mother. I enjoyed this day.
